St Ursula’s College would like to congratulate the class of 2023 on their amazing results in this year’s HSC, having been ranked 76 of all secondary schools in NSW and ranked 4 within Sydney Catholic Schools.
Our students have all worked extremely hard and it shows in our results, with 50 students receiving an ATAR above 90!
189 Distinguished Achievements were earned by 83 students, which means these girls were awarded a mark over 90 in one or more subjects. Five students, Rebecca Badr, Eva Baricevic, Olivia Dabboussy, Gloria Gannon and Jacqueline Keir, were named All Round Achievers, having scored a Band 6 result in ten or more units.
Jacqueline Keir, who scored an ATAR of 99.4 is to be congratulated for achieving the top ATAR in her cohort. Jacqueline was in a state of shock and disbelief when she received her results this morning. She is tremendously happy and said “It is a surreal feeling”. Jacqueline has received four early offers into universities and hopes to get into Medicine.
Prior to the release of ATARs, 150 students were offered early entry into universities. Four students, Monique Alesci, Natalia Kapitsas, Charlotte Lim and Keezia Simarmata were recognised for their exemplary Design and Technology major works and have received a nomination for the Shape exhibition.
After speaking with Jacqueline Keir and other Distinguished Achievers, Rebecca Badr, Jennifer Costan and Chrystalla Kospetas, they are all thrilled and relieved to know that their consistency, hard work and dedication has led to success. They all credit their amazing teachers who kept their morale high and made learning fun and interesting.
Lorena D’Souza, Year 12 Coordinator for 2023, could not be more proud “They all worked extremely hard and this year group had a fire in their bellies. I am so happy and proud that they are all well rounded and kind individuals.”
St Ursula’s College Principal, Mary Leask gives her congratulations to all students. “There has been enormous growth across the cohort with 50 young women achieving ATARs over 90. Their hard work and collaborative competition has paid off.”
