It can be so hard to know if a secondary school is the right fit for your child, which is why
St Ursula’s College Kingsgrove is giving visitors the chance to hear directly from its students.

On Thursday 5 March, from 3.30pm – 6pm, the College is inviting girls planning for secondary school and their families to attend its annual Open Day.

Curious families will have the chance to get their questions answered about what it’s like to attend the school from students like School Captain Bianca Stanghieri.

“What excites me is how learning at St Ursula’s goes beyond the curriculum,” says Bianca. “The College has offered me incredible opportunities to nurture my individual strengths and celebrate my Catholic faith.”

When families join a student-led school tour at Open Day this year, they can discover the school’s new architect-designed learning spaces, passionate staff and diverse learning and extra-curricular programs.

Visitors can learn about the College’s Newman Selective Gifted and Talented Program, watch a debating demonstration, see the student orchestra perform and join in sports activities and science experiments.

Giveaways, a virtual tour of the Vatican, taste testing in the hospitality classroom and photography demonstrations are also part of the fun.

For those who are still undecided on a secondary school for their daughter, St Ursula’s Principal Mary Leask says Open Day may be their first chance to see what makes an Ursuline education so unique.

“At St Ursula’s, we taken an exceptionally holistic approach, which gives equal balance to academic, social, personal and religious dimensions of education,” she says.

“Our great hope is to instil in each of our girls a deep, lifelong love of learning, and we warmly invite you to experience the passion and dedication of our staff and students at 2020 Open Day.”
