Congratulations to the St Ursula’s College Kingsgrove Class of 2024 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) results! 

Our school was among the top 100 in the Sydney Morning Herald rankings for a sixth consecutive year, placing 92nd in the state.

We also recorded 170 Distinguished Achievers, and 43% of our students achieved an ATAR above 85. Nineteen per cent achieved Band 6 results.

Daniella Haklane was our school’s top HSC performer with an ATAR of 98.4.

HSC Top Achiever Mikaela Vassilimis placed fourth in the state in Design and Technology.

St Ursula’s students also achieved 16 nominations and 3 selections to HSC showcases across Technology and Applied Studies and the Arts.

St Ursula’s students completed the International Baccalaureate for the very first time this year. Annabelle Johnson was our top performing IB student with an ATAR of 96.8. 

Seven students from the school chose to complete the HSC alternative, forgoing an ATAR for the qualification’s independent research project and other components designed to develop a breadth and depth of knowledge.

St Ursula’s Principal Vivienne Awad said highly effective teaching and learning, dedicated teachers and students, and a supportive parent community were key to this year’s wonderful HSC results.

“Their resilience and their ability to rise to the challenge the HSC – and IB – presents was extremely impressive.”

SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM 

Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 HSC with 13 of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 150 high schools in NSW.

SCS recorded an impressive 2819 Distinguished Achievers, 42 Top Achievers and 45 All Rounders.

Notably, eight SCS students received HSC First in Course honours.

SCS students also completed 1,921 VET courses, and earned 280 HSC Showcase Nominations across the Creative and Performing Arts, and Technology and Applied Studies.
